If you are into some knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), you must hear of DA and DR. Many service providers even promise to raising your website to certain DA or DR numbers.
Do what are DA and DR, and do they matter to Google?
The simple answer is NO. Domain Authority (DA) and Domain Rating (DR) are metrics created by Moz and Ahrefs respectively, and are not used by Google in its search algorithm or ranking.
However, these metrics can give an indication of a website’s overall strength and potential to rank well in search engines. It’s important to keep in mind that they are just third-party tools and not official measures of a site’s search engine performance.
Google uses its own complex algorithm to rank websites in its search results, taking into account hundreds of ranking factors or signals, and the matrix is changing from time to time. To improve a website’s search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine ranking position (SERP), it’s important to focus on key factors like relevant and high-quality content, technical SEO, user experience, and building quality backlinks.
